The Queen's Head is Pinner's oldest Inn and steeped in History.  Records show that there has been an Inn on the site since 1540, although there is a theory that there was an Ale house on the site here when King Edward III signed the Royal Charter to create Pinner's annual fair in 1336. We know for certain that our cellars are 12th century. During the 16th and 17th centuries, the Inn was called The Crown; only in 1715 was it renamed The Queen's Head. In 1872, Eleanor, the daughter of Horatio Nelson, Nelson's only daughter, was killed by a bolting horse outside The Queen's Head. She was unmarried and predeceased her mother. It is said that her benevolent ghost still roams the rooms of the pub. The Queen's Head is a traditional suburban London pub serving a range of 18 lagers, cider and ales on tap including:  Amstel, Beaverton Neck Oil, Birra Morretti, Cruzcampo, Estrella Galicia, Flint Eye, Fosters, Guinness, Hazy Day, Heineken, Inch's Cider, Level Head, Madri, Peroni, and 4 cask ales including Greene King IPA, Timothy Taylor Landlord, Rebellion IPA and a guest ale (currently our house ale). There is also a wide selection of white, rose and red wines, as well as a range of popular and premium vodkas, gin, whiskies and other spirits.  Our alcohol free range, extends to 5 lagers, 3 ciders, 1 real ale, Guinness and Heineken Zero on draught.  We offer a range of cocktails including Espresso Martini,  Pink Martini, Strawberry Daquiri and Passionfruit Martini.

 

We serve fresh premium Barrel & Stone Pizzas and Piadina's throughout the day from Midday - 10.00pm. In addition we offer a lunch and dinner menu with a range of eight exciting dishes. To finish why not try one of our fantastic range of desserts which include a delicious range of Disotto ice creams.

 

 

We now offer the full range of pizzas, wines and draught beers for home delivery through Just Eat  Look out for discounts and offers.

 

 

 

We are the first pub in the area to have electric car charging in the car park and dedicated cycle parking.   Electric car charging is only for customer use, and all users must register at the bar for free parking.  We have a minimum £10.00 spend for users of our charging facility.

 

 

 

We are happy for you to use our electricity to charge your laptop, phone or other devices, but do not accept responsibility for these devices.

 

 

We are very proud of our highly trained staff. As an ethical employer, we pay 15% above the upper end of the London living wage, plus private health care, private pension, free travel, complimentary food,  perkbox, and regular training. 4 of our staff are doing NVQ courses in Hospitality and 3 are license holders. From April 2023 we will have three of our staff employed as graduate trainees doing a BA in Business Management in collaboration with Arden University.  We use EGM to do our Mystery Shopper reports, and these are done 4 times a year. We are extremely proud of the accolades we receive for the condition of our ales and lagers. This is in part due to the comprehensive cleaning  programme undertaken by Heineken UK every Monday morning. This involves using copious amounts of water to flush the lines through, then a special line cleaner, followed by even more copious amounts of water to complete the task.

TQH (Traditional, Quality, Hospitality)  Our mission statement devised by our staff in 2016 defines all that we try to do at the Queen's Head.  we hope to fulfil this aim at every visit you make.

 

 

On 6th September, we were awarded one of the 'oscars of the pub industry' and crowned 'Greene King Pub of the Year 2018.  This was against strong competition from over 1200 Greene King pubs in England, Scotland and Wales.
